ആചാര്യവാണി
മനുഷ്യജീവിതത്തിലെ പരമമായ പുണ്യം അറിവിന്‍റെ ഉറവ കൂടി ഈശ്വരനില്‍ നിന്നാണ് എന്ന ബോധ്യമാണ്. സൂര്യനും ചന്ദ്രനും ഭൂമിയും മനുഷ്യശരീരവും എല്ലാം ഈശ്വരീയസൃഷ്ടിയാണ് എന്നു കരുതുന്നവർ പോലും അവയക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അറിവും ഈശ്വരീയമാകണം എന്നു ചിന്തിക്കുന്നില്ല. അതിനു കാരണം സൃഷ്ടി മിഥ്യയാണ് എന്ന അജ്ഞാനമാണ്. സത്യത്തെ ബോധിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടത് മിഥ്യയില്‍ നിന്നോ? തരമില്ല, സത്യത്തെ സത്യമാകുന്ന ജ്ഞാനത്താല്‍ വേദമാകുന്ന ശ്രുതിയാകുന്ന ആഗ...മം ആകുന്ന ആമ്നായത്തിലൂടെ മാത്രമേ അറിയുക തരമുള്ളൂ. വേദത്തെ, ജ്ഞാനത്തെ നിഷേധിക്കുന്നവന്‍ നാസ്തികനാകുന്നതും അതിനാലാണത്രേ! അതിനാല്‍ ഈശ്വരനിഷേധം തന്നെയാണ് വേദം പൗരുഷേയമാണ് എന്ന ചിന്ത. അതിന്‍റെ മൂലസ്വരൂപത്തിൽ വേദം പരമപ്രമാണമാകുന്നതും അതുകൊണ്ടുതന്നെയാണ്. മൂലസ്വരൂപത്തിൽ മനുഷ്യന്‍റെ കൈകടത്തലുകള്‍ അതിലുണ്ടാവുക തരമല്ല. ഈശ്വരീയസൃഷ്ടിയായ വായു ജല പൃഥ്വിവ്യാദികൾ അതിന്‍റെ മൂലസ്വരൂപത്തിൽ മലിനപ്പെടുന്നില്ല എന്നതിനർത്ഥം ഇന്നു നമുക്ക് ലഭ്യമായ വായുവും ജലവുമെല്ലാം ശുദ്ധമാണെന്നോ പൂർണമായും അശുദ്ധമാണെന്നോ അല്ല.

The origin of speech (Vaani) is from air (Vayu). It is again consumed by air. Speech created from the internal air (from body) is dissipated to atmospheric air. Speech shall not be produced unless created by the internal air. But in reality, both internal air and external air are the same. Imagine air as great God (Deva). This God creates Vaani (speech), who is extremely beautiful and enticing, from inside. Getting absorbed by air, by seeing its own beauty is the nature of speech (Vaani). We have to know the fact that, creators of Puranas made up the story that Brahma had lust for own daughter from this, thus distorted the beautiful concept of Saraswati.

My humble interpretation – speech is created from the body by internal air. Once released to outside, it get dissolved in the atmospheric air. As air, both internal and external, is the same. Assume air (Vayu) as God, which consumes its offspring speech (Vani), due to its amazing beauty is a nice analogy which leads to the great concept of Saraswati. We have to understand and accept this reality as this was terribly misinterpreted by Puranic people as Brahma having desire for own daughter Saraswati. (This is one of the many examples of misinterpretation of Vedic concepts. There are so many others, which shall be discussed later – Vijay Kumar Menon).

ആചാര്യവാണി

വാണിയുടെ ഉത്പത്തി വായുവിലാകുന്നു. വീണ്ടും അതിനെ വായു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. ആന്തരികവായുവില്‍ നിന്നുണ്ടാകുന്ന ശബ്ദം അന്തരീക്ഷ വായുവില്‍ ലയിക്കുന്നു. ആന്തരികവായു ശബ്ദത്തെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ ശബ്ദം ഉണ്ടാവുകയില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ ആന്തരികവായുവും ബാഹ്യവായുവും ഒന്നുതന്നെയാകുന്നു. വായുവിനെ മഹാനായ ദേവനായി സങ്കല്പിക്കൂ. ഈ ദേവന്‍, പരമമനോഹരിയും മോഹിനിയുമായ വാണിയെ ഉള്ളിൽ നിന്നുല്പാദിപ്പിച്ചു. അതിന്‍റെ സൗന്ദര്യം കണ്ട് തന്നിൽതന്നെ ലയിച്ചുചേരുന്നതാണ് വാണിയുടെ സ്വഭാവം. പൗരാണികർ ഇതിൽനിന്നും ബ്രഹ്മാവ് സ്വപുത്രിയെ ഇച്ഛിച്ച കഥയുണ്ടാക്കി സരസ്വതീ സങ്കല്പത്തെ വികൃതമാക്കിയെന്നു നാം അറിയുക. – നരേന്ദ്രഭൂഷൺ

The sole aim of my life, which I have always endeavoured to achieve, is to help to put an end to this mutual wrangling, to preach universal truths, bring all men in the fold of one culture whereby they may ease to hate each other and, instead may firmly weal. May this doctrine, through the grace and help of God, and with the support of all truthful, honest & learned people, who are devoted to cause of humanity, reach every nook and corner of this earth, so that all may acquire righteousness and wealth, gratify legitimate desires, elevate themselves and live in happiness and salvation. This alone is the chief object of my life.

ചതുര് വേദസംഹിത – ഒരു ചെറുവിവരണം

 വേദങ്ങൾ നാലാണ് – ഋഗ്വേദം, യജുർവേദം, സാമവേദം, അഥർവവേദം. അവ മാനവസംസ്കൃതിയുടെ ആദിമ സാഹിത്യമാണ് എന്ന സത്യം ഇന്ന് ലോകം മുഴുവൻ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നു. ആദിമകാലത്ത് വാമൊഴിയായി പകർന്നു നല്കിയ പാരമ്പര്യം ഇന്നും തുടർന്നുപോരുന്നു. ഏതാനും സഹസ്രാബ്ദങ്ങൾ മാത്രമേ ആയിട്ടുള്ളൂ അവ പുസ്തകരൂപത്തിൽ ആയിട്ട്. വൈദികസംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ ഉള്ള വേദങ്ങളുടെ സവിശേഷതകളിൽ ചിലത് – വേദങ്ങളിൽ മന്ത്രങ്ങള്‍ ആണുള്ളത്, അവ വൈദിക സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ ആണുള്ളത് (സാധാരണ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ നിന്നും വളരെ വികസിതവും വിശാലവും ആണിത്), സവിശേഷവും തനതും അപൂർവവുമായ വ്യാകരണം, ഉച്ചാരണം, മറ്റൊരു ഭാഷയിലും ഉപയോഗിക്കാത്ത അത്യപൂർവ ചിഹ്നങ്ങൾ, അനേകം അർത്ഥതലങ്ങൾ, വേദമന്ത്രങ്ങളിൽ  ആർക്കും ഒരക്ഷരമോ സ്വരമോ പോലും ഒരുതരത്തിലും

കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കാനോ എടുത്തുമാറ്റുവാനോ സാധിക്കാത്ത തരത്തിലുള്ള എട്ടു അന്യൂനമായ സംരക്ഷണരീതികൾ (ജടാ, മാലാ, ശിഖാ, ലേഖാ, ധ്വജം, ദണ്ഡം, രഥം, ഘനം), അങ്ങനെ പോകുന്നു.
വേദങ്ങൾ മലയാളലിപിയിൽ അക്ഷരത്തെറ്റില്ലാതെ ഇതുവരെ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല, പല കാരണങ്ങളാല്‍. ഇപ്പോൾ, മലയാളികളുടെ സൗഭാഗ്യമായി, ഈ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രഗല്ഭനായ വേദപണ്ഡിതൻ സ്വർഗീയ (ആചാര്യ) നരേന്ദ്രഭൂഷൺ നാലു വേദങ്ങളെയും മലയാളലിപ്യന്തരണവും സംശോധനവും നടത്തി – “ചതുര് വേദസംഹിത” എന്ന പേരില്‍. 2000-ല്‍ ആചാര്യജി സ്വന്തമായി പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ഈ മഹദ്‌ഗ്രന്ഥം 2001-ല്‍ മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയീ മഠത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ അമൃതകീര്ത്തി പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെ അര്ഹനാക്കി. പിന്നീട് 2011-ല്‍ മാതൃഭൂമി ഇതിന്റെ വിപുലീകരിച്ച പതിപ്പിറക്കി, വിവിധ വൈദിക പഠനങ്ങളുമായി 1000 അധികം പുറങ്ങൾ ചേര്ത്ത് . അസാധാരണമായ പ്രതികരണം ആയിരുന്നു വായനക്കാരിൽ നിന്നും, അവര്‍ ഈ മഹദ്‌ കൃതിയെ രണ്ടു കയ്യും നീട്ടി ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങി. മുഴുവൻ പ്രതികളും വിറ്റുപോയതിനാൽ, 2012-ല്‍ രണ്ടാം പതിപ്പും ഇറക്കി.
മലയാള പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ നാഴികക്കല്ലായി മാറിയ ഈ ഗ്രന്ഥം 4000-ല്‍ അധികം പുറങ്ങളിലായി നാലു വാല്യങ്ങളിൽ പരന്നുകിടക്കുന്നു. 1000-ല്‍ അധികം പുറങ്ങളുള്ള ആദ്യ വാല്യം ചതുർവേദപര്യടനം എന്ന ബൃഹത്തായ പഠനം, മഹര്ഷി ദയാനന്ദ സരസ്വതിയുടെ ഋഗ്വേദാദി ഭാഷാഭൂമികയുടെ മലയാള പരിഭാഷയായ “വേദപര്യടനം” എന്നിവ അടക്കം അനേകം വൈദികപഠനങ്ങൾ ഉള്പ്പെപടുന്നതാണ്. 1000-ല്‍ അധികം പുറങ്ങളുള്ള രണ്ടാം വാല്യം ഋഗ്വേദസംഹിത - മൂല മന്ത്രങ്ങൾ (സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ) സ്വരാങ്കനങ്ങൾ സഹിതവും, മലയാളലിപിയിലും; പ്രധാന സൂക്തങ്ങളുടെയും മന്ത്രങ്ങളുടെയും അര്ത്ഥം മലയാളത്തിൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മൂന്നാം വാല്യം യജുർവേദസംഹിതയും സാമവേദസംഹിതയും - മൂല മന്ത്രങ്ങൾ (സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ) സ്വരാങ്കനങ്ങൾ സഹിതവും, മലയാളലിപിയിലും; പ്രധാന സൂക്തങ്ങളുടെയും മന്ത്രങ്ങളുടെയും അര്ത്ഥം മലയാളത്തിൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാലാം വാല്യം അഥർവവേദസംഹിത - മൂല മന്ത്രങ്ങൾ (സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ) സ്വരാങ്കനങ്ങൾ സഹിതവും, മലയാളലിപിയിലും; പ്രധാന സൂക്തങ്ങളുടെയും മന്ത്രങ്ങളുടെയും അര്ത്ഥം മലയാളത്തിൽ വിശദീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
എല്ലാവരും നിര്ബന്ധമായും വാങ്ങിക്കുകയും വായിക്കുകയും തലമുറകള്ക്ക് ‌ പുസ്തകത്തോടൊപ്പം വേദങ്ങളുടെ സന്ദേശം എത്തിക്കുകയും വേണം. വേദപ്രചാരണത്തിന് സ്വജീവിതം ഉഴിഞ്ഞുവച്ച മഹാമനീഷിയായ ആചാര്യജിയ്ക്കുള്ള ഗുരുദക്ഷിണയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഈയുള്ളവന്‍ ഇത്തരം പ്രവര്ത്തി കളെ കാണുന്നു.

മാ നോ വധീ പിതരം മോതമാതരം മാനഃ പ്രിയാസ്തന്വോ രുദ്ര രീരിഷഃ”

രുദ്ര! ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ ചെയ്യുന്ന പാപത്തിന് ദുഃഖഫലം നല്കി അവരെ രോദനം ചെയ്യിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഈശ്വരാ! അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളിൽ ചെറിയവരേയും വലിയവരേയും ഗര്ഭസ്ഥരേയും മാതാപിതാക്കന്മാരേയും പ്രിയബന്ധുജനങ്ങളേയും അവരുടെ ശരീരങ്ങളെയും നശിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കരുതേ. ഞങ്ങളിലെ പാപാചരണമാകുന്ന കുടിലമാര്ഗ്ഗ ത്തെ ഞങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് അകറ്റിക്കളഞ്ഞാലും. രുദ്രാ ഞങ്ങളെ പരിശുദ്ധരാക്കണേ! ഞങ്ങള്‍ വളരെ വിനയത്തോടുകൂടി അങ്ങയെ പ്രാര്ത്ഥി ക്കുന്നു. ശിക്ഷയ്ക്ക് അര്ഹരാകാത്തവണ്ണമുള്ള മാര്‍ഗത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങളെ നയിച്ചാലും.
കടപ്പാട്:- ആര്‍ഷനാദം മാസിക, ഏപ്രില്‍ 2009. ആര്‍ഷനാദം മലയാളത്തിലെ ഏക വൈദിക-ദാര്ശരനിക മാസികയാണ്, 1970-ല്‍ (ആചാര്യ) നരേന്ദ്രഭൂഷണ്‍ (ഇക്കാലത്തെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച വേദപണ്ഡിതന്‍)) തുടങ്ങി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മരണംവരെ (2010) ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് നടത്തി. ഇപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ് ഭാര്യയും ആചാര്യയും മഹാവേദപണ്ഡിതയും ആയ ശ്രീമതി. കമലാ നരേന്ദ്രഭൂഷൺ നടത്തിവരുന്നു. വേദങ്ങള്‍ ജാതി-മത-വര്ണ-നിറഭേദങ്ങളില്ലാതെഎല്ലാവരിലേക്കും എത്തിക്കാൻ സ്വന്തം ജീവിതം ഉഴിഞ്ഞുവച്ച മഹാനുഭാവന്‍, അനേകം വൈദിക പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഉടമ, മാതാ അമൃതാനന്ദമയീ ആശ്രമത്തിന്റെദ ആദ്യ അമൃതകീര്ത്തി പുരസ്കാരം, മുതലായവ. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെവ പ്രധാന കൃതികൾ - നാലു വേദങ്ങളെയും അക്ഷരത്തെറ്റില്ലാതെ മലയാളലിപിയിൽ (ചതുര് വേദസംഹിത - മാതൃഭൂമി) ആക്കിയ ആദ്യവ്യക്തി, വൈദിക സംബന്ധമായ നൂറിലധികംഗ്രന്ഥങ്ങളുടെ കര്ത്താതവ്‌ (അവയില്‍ പകുതിയോളം സ്വയം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വിതരണംചെയ്‌തു), പത്ത്‌ പ്രധാന ഉപനിഷത്തുകള്ക്ക് വേദാനുസൃതമായി ഭാഷ്യം ചമച്ചു - ശങ്കരഭാഷ്യത്തെ വിമര്ശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് (ദശോപനിഷത്ത് ശ്രുതിപ്രിയഭാഷാഭാഷ്യം–ഡി.സി. ബുക്സ്‌), ലോകമാന്യബാലഗംഗാധരതിലകന്റൊ “ഗീതാരഹസ്യം” പൂര്ണ്ണമായി പരിഭാഷപ്പെടുത്തി (ശ്രീമദ്‌ ഭഗവദ്‌ ഗീതാരഹസ്യം-മാതൃഭൂമി), ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള ശരിയായ വിവരം നല്കുീന്ന “യോഗേശ്വരനായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണന്‍” (ഡി.സി. ബുക്സ്‌), ശ്രീരാമനെയും രാമായണത്തെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണകള്‍ മാറ്റാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്ന ഗവേഷണഗ്രന്ഥം-“അയോദ്ധ്യയിലെ ശ്രീരാമൻ” (ഡി.സി. ബുക്സ്‌), ഹരിനാമകീര്ത്തനത്തിന് വേദാനുസൃതമായ വ്യാഖ്യാനം-"ഹരിനാമകീര്ത്തനം" (മാതൃഭൂമി).

“The greatest boon of human life is the realization that origin of knowledge is also from God (Eshwar/Allah). Those who think that sun, moon, earth, human body and everything is creation of God (Eshwar/Allah); does not think that knowledge about them should also be Divine. One of the reasons for it is that the wrong knowledge (Avidya) that creation is illusion (Mithya). Do we have to get convinced of the truth from illusion? Of course not, the only way we can know truth, can know only through True Knowledge, which is Veda, which is to be heard (Shruti), which came (Agama) and which is Amnyaya. It is said that that is the reason makes the one who denies Vedas (knowledge) becomes atheist! So, the thought that Vedas are created by human (Paurusheya) itself is the denial of God (Eshwar/Allah). That itself is the reason why Vedas, in its original form (Moola Swaroopa), becomes The Ultimate Reference (Paramma Pramaana). Human interference is impossible... in original form. When Godly/divine creations like air, water, earth, etc. are said not get polluted in their original form; it doesn’t imply that air, water, etc. which are available to us now are pure or fully impure.”

This is an independent translation of wring of late (Acharya) Narendra Bhooshan (greatest Vedic scholar known to me) in Arshanadam the only Vedic-Philosophical magazine in Malayalam, started by him in 1970. As it is very difficult to translate certain Vedic words to English, I am unable to convey the full, detailed and complete meaning for which I ask forgiveness to all. For any mistakes, errors, misinterpretations, etc. are fully mine. Any virtue or goodness in this article, I owe it fully to Acharyaji, who has shown me the right path of my spiritual journey two and half decades before, through Arshanadam and his books. I consider him as my spiritual Guru, though I personally met him only once in 2009. I am trying to pay tribute to this great yet very simple down to earth person, by doing something so that true message of Vedas is conveyed to the world.
